Tree imprints

The Tree imprints series preserves the textures of pine, birch, and willow, whose bark bears the scars of human activity. Whether ensnared by metal wire or pierced by barbed wire, these trees—encountered on devastated sites—become the subjects of my records. To capture their traces, I often use my own handmade charcoal, produced from charred wood salvaged from these very locations.
